plugin voor bootlogo te wijzigen

Hallo allemaal,

 

Ik weet dat er veel mensen zijn op dit board die zich met images bezighouden.

Voor hun heb ik een plugin gevonden bij de oosterburen.

Ik weet niet precies wie het gemaakt heeft daar er onder het verhaal geen naam staat of is weggehaald.

Degene die het op i-net gezet heeft is BlackCannon.

What is EasyLogo?

=================

 

EasyLogo is a dreambox plugin that allows to extract and save, or also to change, the boot-logo picture of the currently loaded flash image.

It is NOT requested to unpack and then repack the image, but all is done just by pressing a button on the remote control, in a few seconds.

The new boot-logo will be immediately visible on the next restart.

 

 

 

Installing

==========

 

Just copy, via FTP, the files "easylogo.so" and "easylogo.cfg" to /var/tuxbox/plugins

 

 

 

Using

=====

 

EasyLogo has double function, selectable from the plugin's main window:

 

- "Grab logo from flash image"

allows to extract the boot-logo picture from the flash image, and saves it into /tmp directory, with the filename of "bildgrab".

 

- "Change logo of flash image"

allows to change the boot-logo picture of the flash image, taking the new one from the file "/tmp/newbild", that the user will FTP to the box before starting the procedure.

 

So, step-by-step:

 

- A) "Grab logo from flash image"

 

1) once entered the plugin, just press BLUE *** on the remote control to activate this function.

 

2) the procedure will end in one second (a "Done" window will appear), and you will find the grabbed boot-logo into "/tmp/bildgrab"

 

 

- "Change logo of flash image"

 

1) Prepare your favourite picture for your boot-logo, by using TMPGenc and by following the usual procedure described everywhere on almost all the available dreambox's FAQ.

To make easy the setup of TMPenc, I included a template "TMPEnc_template.mcf" prepared for standard boot-logo mpeg conversion. You will find it into the directory "template" in the EasyLogo zip archive.

Just drag&drop the template file on the main window of TMPGenc and you'll be ready to convert.

 

2) once converted your picture with TMPGenc, rename the output file to "newbild"

(into the "demo" directory of the archive, you'll find a "newbild" file, ready to use, with a nice boot-logo picture, that will be surely appreciated by all the linux-maniacs... :-D )

 

3) ccopy "newbild" file to /tmp (with a FTP proggy)

 

4) Start the plugin, and push the RED button of the remote control to begin the procedure.

A progress meter will appear on a pop-up window to display the status of the install.

 

5) All will be finished within 10-15 seconds :-)

 

6) Exit from the plugin and reboot dreambox... nice boot logo, isn't it? :-))

 

 

 

Note

====

 

Works on 107.4 - 1.08 - 1.081 images

All operations are protected: "newbild" file will be checked in its structure and its size, making impossible to install a too big picture that will not fit.

I suggest to use my template to prepare your own picture (the bitmap must be 720x576 pixels) - for all that concerns the picture's set-up and convert, please read one of the numerous FAQs present on all dreambox forums.

Tip: after grabbing an image's boot-logo, to display it on windows desktop, just drag&drop the file on TMPGenc program window, or, by renaming the file adding the .mpg exstension, it will be playable by Windows Media Player.

Wat is EasyLogo?

EasyLogo is een dreambox plugin die toestaat om het opstart-logo uit te pakken en op te slaan, of te wijzigen van het huidige flash image.

Met deze plugin wordt het flash image NIET uitgepakt, logo gewijzigd, en weer ingepakt, maar enkel door een knoop op de afstandsbediening

een paar seconden te drukken.

Het nieuwe boot-logo zal met de volgende (re)start onmiddelijk zichtbaar zijn.

 

 

Het installeren

==========

 

Kopieer, via FTP, de bestanden "easylogo.so" en "easylogo.cfg" naar /var/tuxbox/plugins

 

 

Het gebruik

=====

 

EasyLogo heeft een dubbele functie, te kiezen via het welkomstvenster van de plugin:

 

- "Grab logo from flash image"

kopieert het boot-logo van het flash-image naar de /tmp directorie, met de bestandsnaam "bildgrab".

 

- "Change logo of flash image"

wijzigt het boot-logo van het flash-image door het nieuwe logo uit de directorie "/tmp/newbild" te gebruiken,

dit nieuwe logo dient de gebruiker via FTP naar de directorie te kopieeren alvorens de procedure te beginnen.

 

 

Zo, stap voor stap:

 

- A) "Grab logo from flash image"

 

1) zodra de plugin is opgestart, druk op de BLAUWE button van de afstandsbediening om deze functie te activeren.

 

2) de procedure zal één seconde duren (een "Done" venster zal) verschijnen, en je kan het bestaande boot-logo in "/tmp/bildgrab" vinden

 

 

- "Change logo of flash image"

 

1) Bewerk je favoriete beeld voor je boot-logo, door TMPGenc te gebruiken

en door gebruikelijke procedure te volgen die op forums en dreambox-sites omschreven wordt.

Om het bebruik van TMPenc gemakkelijk te maken, heb ik een mal "TMPEnc_template.mcf"

toegevoegd dat op het standaard boot-logo naar mpeg omzetting is voorbereid.

Je zult het in de directorie "template" in het EasyLogo zip-archief vinden.

Versleep je plaatje naar TMPGenc en je bent klaar om deze om te zetten.

 

2) Zodra je plaatje met TMPGenc is omgezet, hernoem je het plaatje wat uit de omzetting is gekomen "newbild"

(in de "demo" directorie van het zip-archief, vind je een "newbild" bestand, klaar om,

met een aardig boot-logo, te gebruiken dat zeker door alle linux-maniacs gewaardeerd zal worden :-D)

 

3) Kopieer het bestand "newbild" naar de /tmp directorie (via een FTP programma)

 

4) Start de plugin, en druk op de RODE button van de afstandsbediening om de procedure te beginnen.

Een vooruitgangsmeter zal in een pop-up venster schijnen om de status van de installatie aan te tonen.

 

5) De procedure zal binnen 10-15 seconden gereed zijn :-)

 

6) Ga uit de plugin en herstart de dreambox... mooi boot-logo is niet het? :-))

 

 

 

Nota ====

 

Bovengenoemde werkt op de 107,4 - 1,08 - 1.081 images

Alle verrichtingen worden gecontroleerd:

Het "newbild" bestand wordt in zijn structuur en zijn grootte gecontroleerd,

dit maakt het onmogelijk om een te groot beeld te installeren welke niet zal passen.

 

Ik stel voor om mijn mal te gebruiken om je eigen plaatje

(bitmap moet pixels 720x576 zijn) voor te bereiden

 

- voor alles wat de opzet en omzetting van het beeld betreft, lees dit op één van

talrijke FAQs op alle huidige dreambox-forums.

 

TIP: wil je na het kopieeren van het huidige boot-logo deze bekijken op je pc,

versleep deze dan naar het TMPGenc-programma, of door aan het bestand de extensie *.mpg

toe te voegen, deze af te spelen met de Windows Mediaplayer.

 

Dit is het... ik hoop dat je van mijn nieuwe kleine idee zal genieten...

Hi View als je goed keek zag je staan gemaakt door "Music Bob", dit is dezelfde programmeur als het Flashwizard prg.

Aangezien de XBox ook over skins beschikt heb ik daar eens naar gezocht. D'r zitten veel mooie bij die ook als bootlogo kunnen worden verwerkt.

 

ff met googlen voor het beste resultaat. XBOX skins zijn ongeveer 100k groot dus moeten wel een beetje worden aangepast.

Ik heb het geprobeert met TMPGenc met jou template, maar nu maakt hij er een *.m1v file van i.p.v. een *,mvi bestand ( dit is het bestand dat uit de Dreambox komt). Kan dit ook gebruikt worden om het logo te veranderen bij b.v. de radio ?

ik kom er echt niet uit ik heb er al middag bij gezeten.

ik krijg de bildgrab wel in de tmp dir.

ik krijg wel de bijgeleverde newbild erin.

maar verder is het voor mij een raadsel.

maar kan er zelf geen nieuwe plaatje inzetten (dus geen nieuwe newbild maken)

wie kan me het stap voor stap eens uitleggen
