hoe zet ik software in de 5020?

ik heb een nulmodemkabel maar weet niet hoe ik de sw erin moet pompen

There are 2 ways to update the software:

---------------------------------------------------------------

1 Via serial loader:

 

a) Find the latest softwareloader version for your receiver on our internet site http://www.echostar-int.com

It can be found in: Support-->Downloads-->PC-Software and find your PVR-5020 Software loader

c) Read the ReadMe.txt which comes with the softwareloader for instructions on how to load this software in your receiver [color:"red"]--> zie onderaan

2 via USB:

 

a) Alternatively you can also update the receiver over USB by placing the software in the "\PVR\Firmware" Directory on your receiver

Safely disconnect the receiver from the PC!

c) Press the PVR button on the remote of the receiver.

d) Press the Right button twice

e) Select the latest software version

f) Confirm to load the software.

1 Installation of the SoftwareLoader onto the PC

----------------------------------------------------------------

a) Make a folder EchoStar into C:\Program Files\

Unzip the zipfile into C:\Program Files\EchoStar

c) Note that two files are present; ReadMe2.txt (the file you are reading now) and STBTool.exe

 

 

2 Connect the receiver to the PC

----------------------------------------------------------------

a) Switch off the PC

Switch off receiver with the switch on the back of the receiver

c) Connect the RS232 cable (“0” modem cable) between the receiver and the PC (diagram can be found in topic 9)

 

 

3 Get the latest software update

----------------------------------------------------------------

a) Find the latest software version for your receiver on our internet site http://www.echostar-int.com

Save the latest software in C:\Program Files\EchoStar

c) Unzip the file in C:\Program Files\EchoStar

 

 

4 Start the EchoStar SoftwareLoader (STBTool.exe)

----------------------------------------------------------------

a) On the PC, close all other programs before you start the SoftwareLoader

Go to C:\Program Files\EchoStar

c) Double click the file STBTool.exe

d) The EchoStar SoftwareLoader appears

 

 

5 Configure the EchoStar SoftwareLoader

----------------------------------------------------------------

a) Click on Configuration

Select the applicable Com port

 

 

6 Download the latest software into the receiver

----------------------------------------------------------------

a) Make sure the receiver is switched off (with switch on the back of your receiver) and connected to the PC

Click the Open button and find the latest software in C:\Program Files\EchoStar

c) Click on the Download button

d) Switch on the receiver with the switch on the back of your receiver

e) Wait for the download to complete and observe the progress in the SoftwareLoader

 

Warning!

Do not press any buttons or switch of your receiver,

this can interrupt the software update sequence which can damage the receiver permanently

 

f) After a while the transfer complete.. pop-up shows

g) Click OK to finish the download sequence.

h) If finished,

close the EchoStar SoftwareLoader program

Switch off the PC

Switch off the receiver

Remove the RS232 cable (“0” modem cable) between the receiver and the PC

 

Congratulations you have successfully loaded the software in you receiver.

For latest satellite and transponder database to become active you need to perform a factory reset on your receiver.

normaal weet ik wel hoe dat gaat,maar nu herkent de computer de software bestanden niet.

Bij de software geeft ie aan dat het om een MEM-bestand gaat,en dat ie dat niet kan openen.

Bij de read me file geeft ie aan dat ie hem niet kan lezen.

Melding : kan het conversiefilter voor afbeeldingen niet laden,en onverwachte fout bij het lezen ervan.de ontvanger doet ook niet wat in jou text staat.

Het .MEM bestand hoef je ook niet te openen via de pc.

 

Download bij HIER het STBTool , hiermee zet je de software in de tuner.

 

Of kopieer het .MEM bestand naar de HDD van de tuner in de map PVR / Software

Nu kan je vanuit het PVR menu van de tuner ( en dan 2 keer pijl naar rechts)

de software installeren.

Zucht omdat je deze informatie zelf ook had kunnen vinden en omdat je omschrijving nogal beknopt was. We willen je hier graag helpen hoor <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/xyxthumbs.gif" alt="" /> daar gaat het niet om maar er wordt nogal snel naar dingen gevraagd die je zelf ook makkelijk kunt vinden of die hier al 100 keer besproken zijn.

in die READ ME bijlage staat precies hoe het moet,maar mijn pc kan dat bestand niet openen. Dan is het toch logisch dat ik iemand hierom vraag? Ben je dankbaar dat je het op 't draadje hebt gezet. Die STB tool had ik trouwens ook niet. Bij mijn eerste ontvanger ging het iets makkelijker. Vandaar de onduidelijkheid aan mijn kant. Ik ga er vanavond mee aan de gang,jullie horen het nog. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/xyxthumbs.gif" alt="" />

OK success, makkelijkste en snelste is trouwens het via USB te doen.

Zo,de sw zit erin.

Valt meteen op dat de HDD geen extra herrie maakt. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Komt wellicht doordat er een kleine van 80 Gb in zit.
