waarschuwing voor phishing mails aan PayPal gebruikers

Dit is nu al de tweede keer in korte tijd dat ik deze mail krijg zogenaamd van PayPal. In de mail staat onder meer deze tekst:

 

We recently noticed an attempt to log in to your PayPal account from France, a foreign IP address and we have reason to believe that your account was used by a third party without your authorization.

 

If you recently accessed your account while traveling, the unusual log in attempts may have been initiated by you. Therefore, if you are the rightful account holder, click on the link below to log into your account and follow the instructions.

 

ZULKE MAILS KOMEN NIET VAN PAYPAL!!

 

Als je zo een mail krijg stuur deze dan naar : spoof@paypal.com dan kunnen zij kijken waar de mail vandaan komt. Het is namelijk de bedoeling dat je via de link in de mail gaat inloggen op je PayPal account en zodoende komen deze criminelen achter je inlog gegevens!

 

Nadat ik de vorige mail ook naar spoof@paypal.com had gestuurd stuurde ze me een bedankje met de volgende tekst:

 

Phishing emails attempt to steal your identity and will often ask you to

reveal your password or other personal or financial information. PayPal

will never ask for your password over the phone or in an email and will

always address you by your first and last name.You've made a difference.
