CCcam onder Windows (emubox beta)

What does it do?

 

This package will allow you to use CCcam on a windows computer with a DVB card.

 

Do I need something?

 

- A working dvb installation on windows, you should be able to view FTA channels!

- A linux based (Ubuntu 8.04 should work fine) installation on a virtual machine (VMware, qemu).

- A working CCcam setup on the virtual machine (including networking).

 

DVBDream -> works ok (use this for testing).

DVBViewer + SoftCSA 3.0 -> works ok (sometimes problems on channelchange).

MediaPortal + mdapifilter -> very slow (problems on channelchange).

 

The channelchange problems have to do with the filter system...

because of DVBViewers copy protection I can't even attach a debugger.

 

How to install?

 

The files in the windows directory should go into your mdapi plugin folder.

For DVBDream this is "C:\dvbdream\Plugins\pip00".

Open the emubox_plugin.cfg file and edit server_ip to the ip address of your virtual machine.

 

The files in the linux directory should go into the virtual machine where your CCcam.x86 file is located.

Open a console, go to that directory and run ./run_debug. CCcam should start...

 

How to use?

 

While the virtual machine and CCcam are running you should be able to watch the channels CCcam is able to decode.

At this time make sure only one plugin is active at the same time,

multi stream decoding is not supported in this version!

Ik zie al meer dan 70 downloads, wat zijn de ervaringen?

Werkt als een tierelier. Eindelijk wat meer kanalen op m'n pc.

Ik heb parallel als virtual machine geinstalleerd en puppy linux als distro erop gezet. even de files ftp'en en draaien maar.

Lijkt inderdaad te werken ik had hier open suse 10.3 in VMware geinstalleerd

Let wel op dat je een 32 bits Linux distro installeerd ik had een 64 bits distro draaien en helaas geen decryption maar er was wel degelijk communicatie en ik zag emm's etc over het scherm vliegen in de linux console

Hallo allemaal ik wou ff laten weten dat er al een tijdje een nieuwere versie is hier. Deze lost het hoge cpu verbruik van CCcam op Btw de versie die later gaat uitkomen zal ondersteuning hebben voor meerdere streams, hierdoor zal PIP en opnemen werken...

Heeft iemand hem ook al getest i.c.m met MediaPortal?

Mediaportal zou ik voorlopig nog afraden, de kans zit er in dat bij het veranderen van kanaal dat de pmt filter niet werkt. Ik hoop dit in latere versies op te lossen. Het werkt in Mediaportal maar niet echt bruikbaar... je zal soms meerdere malen van kanaal moeten veranderen om beeld te krijgen.

Is het mogelijk om Emubox naar een externe CCcam server te connecten of moet dit perse lokaal een VMware omgeving?

Extern is geen probleem, mits de "externe" CCcam omgeving is opgestart met de preload. Anders kan de emubox plugin geen verbinding maken.

Welke distro is het beste, ik heb namelijn als Clarkconnect en Ubuntu getest en beide geven een error als ik ./run_debug start:

En verder kunnen geen update voor glibc vinden.
