Ik zal je zeer erkentelijk zijn, de drive werkt nu namelijk niet met USB. Mijn E-mail adres is dilasso16atgmailpuntCom Groeten, Dilasso. De software die erop stond heeft niets te maken met het niet herkennen van je drive onder usb....... Windows may report that there is no driver found for your device. Cause: This happens because Windows is seeing the USB or Firewire drive as an unknown device, and therefore can't install any drivers for it. Critical: The USB and Firewire drivers for our external hard drives are already built into Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Mac OSX's. Our external portable and desktop drives use the native USB and Firewire drivers found in Windows and Mac operating systems. We do not supply extra USB drivers for our external drives. Once you connect the drive to the computer, it should automatically be recognized, and the drivers should automatically install. If that doesn't happen, then something is preventing the operating system from recognizing the USB or Firewire drive, which then prevents the drivers from being installed. For that reason, it may be necessary to do some basic troubleshooting in order to make sure that the drive is functioning properly, and to make sure that nothing is preventing the Windows or Mac drivers from being installed for the external hard drive. Solution: Below you will find some things that can prevent the drivers from installing. Please follow the suggestions to correct whatever may be hindering the drive from being recognized and the drivers from being installed. * Turn off computer. Disconnect all cables from the back of the external drive. Plug the drive's power adapter directly into an electrical wall outlet. Turn on the computer and let it fully load Windows. If the external drive has a power button, turn the drive on. Wait a few seconds, and connect the data cable (USB or Firewire only) directly to the computer. Do not use a USB/Firewire hub or other device. * It is also possible that you may have a bad data cable. Replace the data cable to see if that causes the drive to be recognized and the drivers to load. * If the drive is still unrecognized, you may want to connect it to other computers to make sure that the drive is functioning correctly. If the external drive isn't recognized on other computers, please return the drive. It is most likely damaged. If the drive is recognized on other computers, then you know for sure that there is something preventing the drivers from being loaded on your computer. * If the drive is recognized on other computers, but not yours, then it is recommended that you get the latest driver updates from your computer or motherboard manufacturer. You may be using generic or out-of-date drivers. It is also recommended that you update your BIOS to the latest version. * A further step in updating the USB or Firewire drivers is to make sure that you have the latest Windows updates and service packs. You will want to also search for any hotfixes associated with your USB or Firewire ports. Hotfixes are not automatically downloaded. You will need to search them out at Microsoft Support, based on the operating system you are using.
