Heractiveren na nieuwe installatie.

Onlangs crashte mijn computer en besloot ik om Windows XP opnieuw te installeren. Wat lastig was dat je weer moest laten activeren bij Microsoft. Ik vraag mij af hoe vaak dit werkt? Ik heb een keer gelezen dat de gegevens van de productactivering in een bepaald bestand worden opgeslagen en dat je dat bestand bij een herinstallatie weer kunt gebruiken.

microschoft bellen (tel.nr. kom je wel tegen tijdens de installatie) en dan telefonisch activeren. Of de crack erover heen, kan natuurlijk ook <img src="/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

Voor alle duidelijkheid: we hebben het hier over een legale versie van XP Home Edition. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif" alt="" />

Deze kan je blijven activeren als je wilt.

Na 4 keer hardware matig een wijziging aangebracht te hebben geloof ik moet je even met Microsoft bellen waarna ze je product weer activeren.

Dus niets aan de hand.

The trick is to copy and re-use the c:\windows\system32\wpa.dbl file. It is small (mine is just 13K), so it will easily fit on a floppy disk.

 

Copy the c:\windows\system32\wpa.dbl file onto a floppy disk or to another safe location on your hard drive.

 

Once that is done, reinstall XP normally.

 

Either boot to a DOS floppy or start in XP's Safe Mode/Command Prompt (i.e., press the F8 key when your system beeps during the boot process).

 

Copy your original wpa.dbl file from its safe location back into the c:\windows\system32 folder.

 

Reboot.

 

Because nothing on your system has changed (it is the same BIOS, CPU, RAM, etc.) and because you are installing the same copy of XP that was previously installed, the old WPA key should be accepted as valid, saving you the hassle of reactivating the software.
