van die "bekende jongens" werd eind jaren 60 een film gemaakt : was een megasucces en werd overladen met oscarnominaties .

Iedere filmliefhebber heeft hem zeker gezien , en de film is ook geselecteerd voor zijn culturele, historische en esthetische waarde in het Nationaal Filmarchief .

Burt Bacharach was verantwoordelijk voor de muziek. Hij componeerde verschillende nummers waaronder "South American Getaway" uitgevoerd door de Ron Hicklin Singers, en natuurlijk "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head" voor de fietsscène

Crazy Sat : je zit op een goede spoor wat betreft de interpretatie van sommige hints , maar wel in de verkeerde staat , en dus op de verkeerde plaats : denk aan de opdracht ..

Eigenlijk zegt hint 21:34 alles wat je nodig hebt om de plaats te vinden .

Ter aanvulling nog deze hint : maar opgelet : niets is wat het lijkt , ook de plaats van dit gebouw niet .

The Hole-in-the-Wall is approximately 40 miles southwest of Kaycee, Wyoming . It's a colorful and scenic red sandstone escarpment that is rich in legend of outlaw activity in the late 1800s, most notably Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch Gang. The 'hole' is a gap in the Red Wall that, legend has it, was used secretly by outlaws to move horses and cattle from the area. The area is primitive in nature, with no services. Visitors should be skilled in cross-country travel and take adequate water, food, and fuel. Please pack trash from the area, and respect private property owners who are working with the BLM to make this an enjoyable recreation opportunity.AccessTo access the area, take Interstate 25 south from Kaycee to the TTT Road exit. At TTT Road exit, drive south about 14 miles to Willow Creek Road (County Road 111). Take this road west for about 18 miles to a primitive two-track road which bears north. This is County Road 105. As you travel along County Road 105 there are a number of livestock gates that must be opened and closed.The access road terminates at the Hole-in-the-Wall parking lot and trail head. A hiking trail to the 'Hole' is about 2.5 miles on uneven terrain. Hikers are reminded that the trail, located on public land is adjacent to private land, so hikers must stay on the trail. Again, please close any gates along the trail.Horseback access to the Hole-in-the-Wall is allowed, please contact the Buffalo Field Office for specific directions and a map.

 

The site was used in the late 1800s by the Hole in the Wall Gang, a group of cattle rustlers and other outlaws which included among its members Kid Curry, Black Jack Ketchum and Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch gang. Cassidy, the Sundance Kid, and other desperados met at a log cabin in the Hole-in-the-Wall country which has been preserved at the Old Trail Town museum in Cody, Wyoming. The cabin was constructed in 1883 by Alexander Ghent.

 

The area was remote and secluded, easily defended because of its narrow passes, with it being impossible for lawmen to approach without the outlaws' being aware. From the late 1860s to around 1910, the Pass was used frequently by numerous outlaw gangs. Eventually it faded into history, with gangs using it less frequently. At its height, it featured several cabins that gangs used to lay up during the harsh Wyoming winters, and it had a livery stable, a corral, livestock and supplies, with each gang contributing their fair share.

Volgens mij ligt die plaats een eindje oostwaarts van jou markeringspijltje , vandaar had ik wat problemen met de locatie.

 

Crazy Sat , het verbaasd me niet dat er wat onduidelijkeheid id over de juiste locatie : het ging trouwens niet om een exacte locatie maar om een plaats in een bergstreek . Ook ik vond gegevens die mekaar soms tegenspraken . maar op basis van de grootste gemene deler kwam ik toch op de locatie zoals aangeduid in mijn plaatje .

Uiteindelijk heb je de buit binnen en mag je bij de sheriff gaan aankloppen voor de beloning .
