To change the region

1. Press the Power button on your player to place it into standby

2. Press the Power button on your player to return it to power on mode

3. Press the Menu button on either your remote or the player

4. Press the 9 button on either your remote or the player

5. Press the Open/Close button on either your remote or the player

6. Press the 5 button on either your remote or the player

7. You should now enter a service menu inside which you can alter your region setting

To change the region

1. Press the Open/Close button on your remote control

2. Press the Setup button on your remote control

3. On your remote control, press the 1 button for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback

4. Press the Pause button on your remote control

5. Press the Step Back button on your remote control

6. Press the Step Forward button on your remote control

7. Press the Setup button on your remote control

 

The region hack for MD-7950A :

To change the Medion md7950a to play other regions, simply follow the steps below :

 

-1-Switch the player on at the base unit

-2-Open the drawer and leave open

-3-Using the remote, type in 8926 then the required Region Code (1-6, 9 all region)

-4-Close the drawer with the required DVD in

-5-Press Play

1. Open the player tray.

2. Press Setup on the remote control to get into the menu.

3. Go to the Custom menu.

4. Press 3, 3, 3, 3 on the remote control.

5. You can then enter a number from 0 to 6 and then press Enter on the remote control to change the region.

6. Press Setup on the remote control.

To enable RCE discs to play:

 

Follow the steps as above, but enter the region number of the disc that has RCE protection in order to allow the disc to play.

 

NOTE: If you use region 0, then RCE discs will play regardless apparently.
