Tous les derniers modèles ASTON (1700, 1800, 2000, SIMBA 201-202 etc ) sont compatibles avec la prochaine norme de cryptage Mediaguard comme Viaccess c'est officiel et ça vient de Aston France même (seul les cam aston 1.05 et antérieur risque de ne pas suivre) Ensuite et plus particulièrement pour le Simba 202, c'est l'un des seul modèle qui permet de télécharger un système de cryptage complet par satellite (le décryptage ce fait complètement par soft et non par hard) ce qui en fait un appareil très évolutif et donc qui ne risque pas de finir au chaud dans un placard (encore une info officielle d'ASTON France) en ce qui concerne les X-sat ben c'est pas gagné puisqu'ils n'offrent pas cette possibilité. Pour finir ASTON à passé des accords avec les 2 opérateurs Français afin d'assurer les compatibilités de ses appareils avec les "nouvelles normes de cryptage" de ces deux dernier.

Canal a annoncé de manière très officielle le changement de sa norme

de cryptage vers un système "un peu plus propriétaire" (sic). La

principale modification, en tout cas la plus apparente, se

concrétise par le remplacement de l'ensemble des cartes et de

quelques 250.000 décodeurs officiels en France (les plus anciens).

Pour la technique, le plus significatif est l'utilisation d'un

algorithme de type RSA/DES 128 bits (le même que pour

l'authentification des cartes bancaires…)

 

Le système de cryptage de base (Mediaguard) est renforcé, et

complètement mis sous contrôle de l'overlay logiciel appelé

MédiaHighway. Cette seconde couche, la couche intelligente, véhicule

tout ce qui est interactif (à peu près comme Open Tv pour le

Viaccess). C'est par cette couche logicielle que passe (passera) la

plus grande partie des fameuses contre-mesures.

 

Cette nouvelle norme est déjà en service en Espagne depuis quelques

jours. Ancienne norme et nouvelle vont cohabiter en Simulcrypt

pendant quelques semaines, environ jusqu'à fin Mai 2002 (en

Espagne). Puis l'ancien système sera complètement abandonné au

profit du nouveau (exit les anciennes cartes , les vraies comme les

fausses….)

 

Le tour de l'Europe sera ensuite bouclé, Italie, Allemagne, etc…

pour finir par la France. Il s'agit de ce qu'il semble convenu

d'appeler l'opération « CHACARTE » (changement de cartes).

 

Début de l'opération Chacarte en France en Septembre, passage en

Simulcrypt dans la foulée, puis Joyeux Noel ; plus de Seca pour la

fin de l'année. Ce qui veut dire que, pauvre de nous, nos « vieux »

Simba et autres du même genre vont sûrement passer la fin de l'année

au chaud dans un placard.

 

Mais une bonne nouvelle n'arrive jamais seule : la plupart des

récepteurs sur le marché actuellement ont une technologie dite «

Astoncrypt », que ce soit dans une version embarquée, ou dans une

version CAM (carte PCMCIA) genre SCM ou autre.

Mais voila, Aston n'a pas l'agrément Canal. Ce qui veut dire que,

même si aujourd'hui il y a équivalence entre Astoncrypt et

Mediaguard : demain : c'est fini….. Comme dirait l'autre, y'a d'la

mise à jour dans l'air ! (pour tant est qu'il y ait des mises à jour

constructeur disponibles)

 

Heureux sont ceux qui ont aujourd'hui un VRAI récepteur certifié

Médiaguard (mais pas MediaHighway). Tant pis pour les autres...

 

En guise de conclusion, il faut se rappeler que le système actuel de

cryptage de Canal a tenu environ 4 ans avant d'être « cassé » de

manière significative. Même si aujourd'hui, n'importe quel newbie

venu (ou presque) est capable de se créer une carte gold, silver (à

quand les Platinium ?) , il y a vraisemblablement encore pas mal de

sueur à faire couler avant de casser le nouveau cryptage……

As a conclusion, it should be remembered that the current system of encoding of Channel held approximately 4 years before "being broken" significantly. Even if if today, any newbie come (or almost) is able to create a chart gold, silver (with when Platinium?) there is probably no badly sweat to make run before breaking new encoding.
