Was al de ganse tijd met "The Witches of Eastwick" in mijn hoofd maar blijkbaar ging het om "Flowers in the Attic" (1987) , based on "Flowers in the Attic" by V.C. Andrews.

V.C. Andrews herself demanded and, eventually, got script approval when she sold the film rights to producers Thomas Fries and Sy Levin. She turned down five scripts (the notorious, violent and graphic screenplay by Wes Craven was rejected by the producers, though), before choosing the script by Jeffrey Bloom, who would also direct. Obviously, Bloom's script was the one that was the closest to the novel, but, as he did not have full control over the matter of the film, the numerous producers and the two studios forcefully made changes in the script, thus stripping it from many plot points and themes of the novel, including the incestuous relationship between the oldest siblings. Bloom said that there was a lot of conflict in production but could do nothing to talk the producers out of the many drastic changes made in the script.

 

Originally, Bloom wanted David Shire to score the film, but Christopher Young was chosen by the producers instead.

The property was used as a forum for outdoor concerts in the late 1950s and early 1960s, featuring such jazz legends as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and Dave Brubeck ( deze laatste overleed verleden jaar)

Eigenlijk gingen de hints over beide films. Met de "bekendere" film bedoelde ik dan ook The Witches of Eastwick.

Maar uiteraard verder helemaal correct Crazy Sat

Ik kan er verder weinig aan toe voegen, behalve dan dat mijn hint ("dat ik er nog nooit geweest was"), een geintje (als verwijzing naar jouw hint) was. Maar ook dat moge duidelijk zijn

 

Kijken we nu weer uit naar jouw opdracht..

Oh boy, ik zie dat ik weer eens heb zitten klooien, want ik had de song wel toegevoegd, alleen de link even weer veranderd naar een andere versie.

Tenminste, zo had het gemoeten. Ergens weer iets fout gedaan .

Hmm, hoe zou dit aan de gezochte persoon te linken zijn..

en kwam daardoor zelf in een zware depressie.
