Is het noodzakelijk om alle VTI 6.x updates in volgorde te installeren of volstaat het ook met de laatste versie?

Verder heb ik op de Uno nog maar weinig intern over. Kan ik dit oplossen door er een usb stickje aan te hangen en te mounten uiteraard?

Nee de laatste update kun je instaleren ja je kan een usb stick gebruiken kun je gewoon via de feed downloaden iets met extended .......

updaten kan lastig worden als je te weinig geheugen hebt

vooral als er in een keer een heleboel wordt gedownload uit de feed en wordt geupgrade

daarom doe ik dat zelf heel regelmatig

 

de updates zijn echter per model en type VU+ gescheiden

en men tracht om niet het geheugen te overbelasten

 

wanneer is er te weinig vrij geheugen? > logisch als je teveel plugins geïnstalleerd hebt of diverse skins of al die nutteloze picons

en als die niet altijd gebruikt worden, kun je ze eigenlijk beter eerst vooraf de-installeren

(herstart per menu > check geheugen)

 

een swap file kan uitkomst brengen, zo 512Mb  voor de UNO is prima

 

wil je zeker zijn dat alles echt perfect werkt met een nieuwe image versie, dan flash e dat image per usb stick

de vti 6.0.7 is ook in de database van vuplus-support.xxx

en plaatst dan je plugins nieuw of uit de backup > restore tijdens de setup

 

flashexpander bestaat ook voor usb of hdd voor de VU+

ik zou echter eerder heel goed kijken naar wat ik echt nodig heb.

Vriendelijk dank iedereen.

Ben niet zo thuis in telnet, zeker niet in die lange lijst die volgt....

Wellicht wil iemand eens naar de volgende lijsten kijken wat er zoal uitgeschakeld kan worden om het interne geheugen wat te ontlasten. Ter info:

Uno met kabel verbonden met internet.

Uno met hdmi verbonden met tv.

Externe hdd hangt aan de Uno.

Pc communiceert draadloos met Uno middels FileZilla.

der staat niets bij wat van belang zou kunnen zijn.

en als er al logfiles gegenereerd worden die uiteindelijk veel geheugen gebruiken, hoef je enkel vooraf een herstart per menu te doen

opdat die logfiles fris en leeg dus, geen geheugen gebruiken...

 

kan het van hieraf niet verder overzien dus ik zou

- a herstarten

- b een backup maken

- c herstarten

- d een update accepteren.
