Yups, het bleken inderdaad de keys te zijn + het feit dat AU er 2 updates voor nodig heeft om de volledige juiste keys te schrijven. Werkt nu ook hier perfect.

It isn't possible to enable them without modification inside gbox, so source or maintainer of gbox is needed.

I have played a litte bit with the Internal slots, I am looking for a way to enable the internal slots. I thing this could be done by writing a adequate device driver.

 

I have debuged the Image from Dr.Matrix and way monitoring what is going on.

 

I have come to the conclusion the there is a Hardware bug in the Internal slots. The card detection does not work. It is not possible to detect weather the card is inserted or removed, that’s why in Dr.Matrix Software you have to boot the Dreambox with a Smartcard in order to work. This makes things very difficult !

 

Does someone has a Circuit diagramm from the Dreambox Hardware, or has some relatinship with the Dreambox developers ?

 

This Hardware bug must be repaired, in order to be able to use the internal slots !!!

If you insert a card, doesn't it answer with a distinct ATR, which you can use to detect card-insertion? Also, I really wouldn't mind to have to punch in some command to tell the box I just removed / inserted a card, until that bug is fixed or a workaround has been found. It could even be put into a menu. :-)

The detection does not work, 100% a Hardware Problem.

 

The IBM PPC hat a Smartcard controller, really good peace of Hardware , but I guess the lines on the Smartcard Socket Switch are not connected Propperly or something like that.

 

Dr.Matrix resets the card all the time, to be able to see if the card is valid, and waits for a timeout, if the Smartcard resets, it is there, if timeout he knows it is not there. That’s why switching takes a couple of seconds. This is a very dirthy workarround ! Very cost intensive, becouse you have to reinit the card all the time, at Irdeto you have to make the camkey question/answer every time, if Z and Fun this takes several seconds, at Viaccess you have to select the propper Provider again after every reset, and so on.

 

To make the gbox work woth the slots with a driver should be possible, but there is no way to implement all the reset and reinit workarround/garbage in the driver !!!

 

The Hardware Bug MUST be fixed !!!

 

Does someone has some contact to Dreammultimedia and could ask about this ?

Again, I wouldn't mind to have to tell the Dreambox manually that I just inserted a new card. People using CI-modules seem to already have to do that all the time. :-) It would, by far, outweigh the benefits of beeing able to use those internal readers with Gbox. :-)

No, you are wrong! I think there exist several
way to workaround such problem:

1, let user want to tell enigma about card change
(not nice I know)

2, the need of explicitely set which type of card
will be there

3, user should count with delay if he really wants
making some card changes

I'm using point 3 in my mgcamd and it works pretty well, so don't wait for hw and/or driver fix and
add support to gbox <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I saw NGRAB in setup-menu. Since streaming doesn't seem to work I'd like to know if the ngrab option is for further releases or already working.

If it is working: How can I do streaming (e.g. with Windows Media Player) ???
