Upgrading Firmware

Hi there!!

First of all, sorry by writing in english on a dutch forum. I can understand dutch but I doubt you can understand my typed dutch, so I hope is ok if I write english <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

 

I'm a newbie on the satellite world, and recently I purchased a Kaon KSC-570 receiver which firware is quite outdated.

I found the right firmware and some instruction about how to do it. Sounds quite simple: open the file, connect the Kaon to the Pc, upload, disconnect, done.

 

What I want to know is if it's really that simple or there are some risks on doing it. Is there some step I have to take first, is it possible that something goes wrong and bye-bye deco???
