De oude transponders geven sinds vorige week de BBC niet meer door die worden nu door de nieuwe transponders doorgegeven.

Ik had van ochtend (vroeg) ook geprobeerd om de eerste te zijn die BBC ontvangt maar helaas "scrambled". Wel met de nieuwe transpoder.

 

Ik wacht rustig af.

BBC SWITCHES TO ASTRA 2D

Thousands of Sky Digital viewers have been left without BBC channels after

the corporation's plan to save money by quitting BSkyB's broadcasting

system backfired. The digital satellite viewers lost access to the channels

after the BBC switched to a new satellite signal last week. Households are

facing a bill of £65 for an engineer to realign their dishes before they

can receive BBC output again. The BBC insists the problem is not its

responsibility and it will not reimburse viewers. In March, the BBC

announced it would not renew its conditional access agreement with BSkyB at

the end of this month, terminating a deal that ensured viewers received

regional BBC output and prevented non-UK residents picking up mainstream

BBC channels. Although BSkyB's 6.7 million subscribers can still access BBC

services, the row could see BBC1 and BBC2 demoted from top slots on Sky

Digital's onscreen menu. The corporation claims the move will save it £85

million in fees paid to BSkyB over the next five years. The BBC has moved

its eight digital channels from the Astra 2A satellite to Astra 2D, the

signal from which does not reach mainland Europe, to ensure overseas

viewers cannot pick up its output when it leaves the BSkyB system. BSkyB

and the BBC are waiting for the industry regulator, the independent

television commission, to rule on whether BBC1 and BBC2 can retain the 101

and 102 slots on Sky's electronic programme guide when they quit the

conditional access system. BSkyB has threatened to relegate the BBC to the

lower reaches of the guide if it does not sign a new conditional access

deal. The BBC channels were due to go "in the clear" from May 30 but the

move has been postponed a month after BSkyB agreed to give the BBC another

month under its existing deal while the ITC reaches a decision.

Dit begrijp ik niet helemaal. Voorheen zat BBC al op Astra2 dus waarom moeten de schotels opnieuw afgesteld worden als ze naar een andere transponder van de Astra 2 vloot verhuizen ?

De schotel hoeft ook niet gedraaid te worden, alleen de receiver moet opnieuw worden ingesteld.

Dat bedoel ik; er staat duidelijk afstellen van de schotel, vandaar mijn opmerking.... Verder zal er ook geen instellen van de ontvanger (skybox) nodig zijn mits ze epg zender 101, 102 etc. behouden. De 'vrije' ontvangers vallen zowiezo geheel buiten hun verantwoordelijkheid....

Waarschijnlijk is het bereik van de nieuwe BBC transponders anders. Misschien is daar een precisere afstelling voor nodig.

hij is namelijk al sinds vrijdagavond weg van zijn oorspronkelijke transponder...

en zal dus toch zeker niet een maand lang afwezig zijn op sateliet...?

Heb ze dus nog steeds op plek 101 en 102 staan.

Klopt. Hier blijft de digibox nu bezig met zoeken omdat de astra 2d hier niet te ontvangen is. De rest wel.

Jammer voor je Frans, iedereen van Spanje tot aan Griekenland zit nu dus zonder BBC.

 

Maar als je weer in Nederland komt wonen of België, kun je gewoon FTA kijken.
