<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />Wie kan mij eens wat meer vertellen over een strong srt 4300? ik ben heel benieuwd als iemand mij er bij wijzer kan maken. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loep.gif" alt="" />ik ben al heel lang op zoek naar info en heb niet veel soeps gevonden ervoor,wel dat ik het zogezegd kan pathen maar hoe en wat staat er niet bij?heeft iemand hiermee ervaring??? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

de srt4300 heeft 1 ci-slot (geen ingebouwde cam). er is geen patch voor.

 

laatste firmware dateert (voor zover ik weet) uit 1999. Sindsdien geen aandacht meer aan geschonken door de fabrikant.

Het is een uitstekend ding (voor FTA en originele ABO met cam), maar cams zoals magic etc, schijnen hier niet optimaal op te kunnen werken.

How to download a new software to the receiver

STRONG SRT4300 or SRT4000?

 

Attention!!!!!! Always unplug the receiver completely from mains outlet and disconnect all the cables (SCART, antenna , etc.) before connecting or disconnecting COM port of the computer and COM port of the receiver through a cable.

 

To download a new software version you need a MODEM CABLE (to connect the receiver input RS232, that is on the rear panel signed as DATA PORT, and the computer input COM1 or COM2, depending on the free one).

The downloading is made using the program HyperTerminal, which is in menu «Programs» «Standard» «Communication».

Note: if HyperTerminal isn’t installed, then it’s necessary to do it.

For this reason enter into menu «Control Panel», submenu «Program Installation and Deleting».

Here open the option «Windows Installation» and «Communication». Then press the button «Details» and choose the program HyperTerminal. Press the button ÎÊ and start installation.

1. Start HyperTerminal.

2. Install «direct connection COM1 or COM2» depending on to which port a cable is connected. ÎÊ.

3. Install connection features/parameters:

- baudrate 115200bit/s ;

- bytesize - 8;

- no parity;

- stop bits 1;

- no hardware control.

ÎÊ.

4. Connect the computer to the receiver via cable.

5. Then switch on the receiver keeping the button Power and plug out a power cord from a socket and plug in it again. Then you can see the following message in English on the screen:

6. Enter into «Transmission» and choose the option «Send a file».

7. Enter a file name _ _ _ _ _ _ _ .bin and set transmission protocol as 1Kxmodem.

8. Press «send». In 5-10min the software downloading will have finished (there will not be any message changes anymore on the monitor and an inscription Ñ0:00 will appear on the receiver front panel).

9. Enter menu «Communication» and press «Finish».

 

If you need to update software for another receiver, then return to the step 4.
