GBox AU, Ja Maar...

Wat goed is met GBox is zijn Auto Update maar is er iemand die een beetje meer informaties can sharen rond deze AU. Laat mij in het engels verder gaan maar antwoord in nederlands. 't is geen probleem ;-)

 

I'm looking for answers to the following questions for which I didn't found any in this board :

 

- GBox AU fetches automaticaly uptodate SoftCam.Key files on the internet and explode those in the individual keyfiles found in /var/keys. But when is this update done ? Every hour, every day, on a signal, at DB Boot ?

 

- How does GBox AU know that a key is more uptodate than another ? Does it look at every key in the downloaded SoftCam.key to find an expiration date or a hex code to change for the current month and does it compare it to every similar key already there in /var/keys ? Or does it replace your SoftCam.key by the new one found (so just based on the SoftCam.key date file) ?

 

- Does GBox AU use the keyupdate.url file to know where to look for new keys or does GBox AU look at predefined URLs and keyupdate.url is only used by the manual keyupdate feature of GBox ?

 

- Can you specify more than one URL in keyupdate.url ? If not, can you use the keyupdate.xml file (offering this multi url functionality) used by another plugin (don't remember the name) in combination with GBox ?

 

- You need to have a SoftCam.Key file containing some keys to start with. But are only the keys in that original SoftCam.Key updated or can you receive by update a SoftCam.Key bigger that the one you had to start with ?

 

- If yes, does it mean also that your SoftCam.Key is used by the web server you're contacting and searched for keys that the server didn't have yet (some kind of win-win situation - but a little bit illegal than) ?

 

A good answer to all those questions could make this message a good sticky note. Gurus (Ronaldd ?) the floor is yours.
